The Nile has been a repository of stories for millennia.

Begin your journey on its western bank in mysterious Giza, home to the last standing wonder of the ancient world. Then fly south to Aswan, where its glittering waters nourish the palm groves that dot the amber desert with emerald.

Hear ancient tales as you cruise in comfort for three nights aboard the deluxe MS Jaz Regent River Cruiser. Along the way, enjoy private shore visits to sites of medical historical interest, as well as the wonders of ancient Egypt. The tour concludes in Luxor, where you’ll marvel at the scale and grandeur of ancient Thebes.

Travel in the company of Professor Richard Smith, renowned gynaecological surgeon who led the team responsible for delivering the first womb transplant baby born in the UK this year. Throughout your journey, gain unique insight into the fields of obstetrics and gynaecology, and explore the society, healthcare, and culture of this remarkable land.

There is an optional 3-night extension to the great city of Alexandria and the battlefield of El Alamein after the tour. Alexandria, founded by Alexander the Great, was the seat of Queen Cleopatra, the site of the Pharos Lighthouse and the Great Library of Alexandria, known as the ultimate archive of ancient knowledge.
