• Florence (Wed, 20 April): If taking flight package depart London City Airport. Arrive and transfer to the Hotel Villa Royal. Private walking tour with an art historian guide. In Piazza della Repubblica, discover the city’s origins as a Roman settlement. Wander through the narrow streets, past the fortified houses and towers of the medieval town, and emerge onto the open Piazza della Signoria. See the Duomo and the Basilica di Santa Croce, where Galileo is buried. Welcome dinner at a local restaurant.
• Florence (Thurs, 21 April): Drive to Villa Colombaia, the birthplace of Florence Nightingale. Visit La Specola Museum, which contains the world's largest collection of eighteenth-century anatomical wax works. Continue to the ornate pharmacy of Santa Maria Novella and see historic equipment for creating medicine and perfume.
• Florence (Fri, 22 April): A private walking tour to visit the Great Museum of the Duomo. This open-air museum contains some of the greatest masterpieces of Italian art history. At leisure. Traditional Tuscan farewell dinner.
• Florence (Sat, 23 April): If taking flight package transfer to the airport for return flight to London. Arrive London City Airport.
