About the tour

Istanbul’s history is as richly layered as one of its baklava pastries. The only city in the world that spans two continents, it is a bewitching dust-devil of cultures and influences spanning thousands of years. See Nightingale’s story come alive in this fascinating city, where her work with the wounded of the Crimean War formed the basis of modern nursing. Step from Asia into Europe and back against a skyline studded with domes and slender minarets. Enjoy drinks at Pera Palace, take a culinary tour of the Spice Bazaar and cruise along the Bosphorus River.

This tour can be combined with the Florence Nightingale in the UK tour that will be taking place from 11 - 16 May 2020, coinciding with the 200th anniversary of Nightingale's birth.
